I’m really excited about a project I’m currently working on for the YAA Centre in London. It’s London’s biggest hub for Carnival Arts and it has showcased the best of African Caribbean arts and culture for 4 decades! There are events and activities throughout the year, but the centre really comes to life during carnival season. It’s a really important part of the vibrant London community so I’m thrilled to be working with them.
I’ve been tasked with refurnishing the centre’s cafe, the goal is to warm it up and make it more inviting. I’ve already done a quick survey of the space and now comes the fun part – sourcing furniture! We’ve only got a short turnaround of a few weeks, so I’ll be able to share some photos of the finished space soon. Of course, you can also check out the cafe in person, as it will be open for business in mid-January.
