It’s official – Pantone have announced that their pick for Colour of the Year 2025 is Mocha Mousse!
Mocha Mousse (PANTONE 17-1230), a warm, rich brown that evokes the indulgence of its dessert namesake. Mocha Mousse is a luxe, elegant colour that contains the delectable quality of chocolate and coffee.
According to Pantone, the colour is imbued with “subtle elegance and sensorial richness that empowers people to create moments of luxury that may be intimate in scale but can extend a sense of indulgence throughout the day”.
“It is a mellow brown hue whose inherent richness and sensorial and comforting warmth extends further into our desire for comfort, and the indulgence of simple everyday pleasures.”
Sophisticated, earthy and elegant, Mocha Mousse takes brown from being humble and grounded to aspirational and luxe.
It is a soft, warming brown that can stand alone or serve as a perfect base colour for your home. With its gentle, neutral tone it is versatile enough to work with a wide range of other colours
To help use Mocha Mousse in our homes, Pantone have created five unique colour palettes pairing the colour with seven other colours, to create different moods.
