Boutique City Centre Holiday Home
Clair Strong Interior Design was hired to design and refurbish a two bedroom city centre house in Bath to be used as a boutique holiday let, and an occasional holiday home for the client and family. Clair's team provided full design, project coordination and sourcing services to transform the property into an attractive, comfortable and contemporary home filled with light and colourful touches.
The palette is fresh, but warm - neutral walls using Little Greene paints, and patterned fabrics from companies such as The Design Archives. Natural materials, predominantly wood and marble, are mixed with porcelains and fake sisal for a harmonious and hardwearing interior.
The furniture is a mix of contemporary, classic, and bespoke with dining furniture by Ercol, upholstered beds by Loaf, garden furniture by Kettler and West Elm.
Feature lighting, most strikingly in the modernist chandelier over the stairs, is used throughout.
The main bathroom and kitchen were redesigned with bespoke made cabinets and vanity unit to make absolutely the best use of space available.
The newly bought and made furniture is mixed with prints and personal belongings of the client which gives the house its unique character.
